For this assignment, you will be writing an Amazon-style review for 3 children’s picture books of your choice. You can check out an example for Interstellar Cinderella (one of my daughter’s favorites). Your review has to do SO much more than the Amazon write up, though. Here are the steps for successful completion of this assignment (and check the rubric, too)!

Read several pictures books targeted for audiences 3-5 years old.

Select 3 books for this assignment: 1 must have a girl as protagonist; 1 must have a child of color as protagonist; the 3rd is open.

Write a 2 paragraph review for each book covering:
o
Brief summary of the book
o
Evaluation of why the book is appropriate for a toddler. Cite evidence from lifespan regarding biosocial, cognitive, and social/emotional development
o
Textbook citations needed within your review in APA style

Proofread your reviews.
