Compose an essay that compares and contrasts the two characters Odyssey and Oedipus. The characters Oedipus and Odysseus are both considered heroes. These two characters are from the literatures The Odyssey written by Homer and Oedipus the King written by Sophocles. The writer is required to devise specific claims that narrow the topic to a specific focus, present evidence to support claim, and anticipate counter-arguments. Essay must be written in MLA’s 8th edition format. This is not a research paper. Outside sources are not preferred. Information should only be gathered from the two literatures and the literatures should be documented on the works cited page.
