Minimum 5 pages of text (double-spaced, 1” margins, 12 pt font). Adding a few figures is fine, but they don’t count toward 5 page text requirement. Citation list also does not count toward minimum text requirement. Due dates will be firm! Late penalty: 2.5 points per day starts April 20. The only exceptions will require written documentation from doctor/nurse, athletic department, or office of student’s academic dean/advisor.
Papers should summarize the plate tectonic/geological evolution of student’s home region (or his/her ancestors’ home region) and describe the potential for geological hazards in that region. Suggested outline:
1. Introductory paragraph about region of interest 2. Plate tectonic and geological evolution of the focus region 3.What is the potential for geological hazards in the region?
