Use the novel “love in the time of cholera” written by gabriel garcia Marquez; that deals with the issue of LOVE. The theme of love speaks across our differences, and show us just how much we have in common as human beings. The novel contains different genders, races, ethnicities, cultures, religions, time periods, etc; it sounds interesting and will challenge the way that you’ve experienced love in your own life. How does that affect his/her point of view? About the Work * Short summary of less than one page * Character Analysis * Who are the major characters? * How are they related to each other and to the central theme of the book? * How does the author create a connection between the reader and each of these characters?

What arguments does the author make about the human experience through your theme? * What images/symbols/motifs does the author use to convey his/her message? Reaction to the Work * What do others say about the piece? * How does it relate to the other items in your portfolio? * Why did the instructor choose to place the novel in this theme? * In what ways is the author different from you? How do those differences impact the way that you see the novel? What did you learn from seeing things from a different point of view? Source Requirements: * List your novel in the correct form * At least one interview with the author, from a reputable print news source or video interview. * At least two literary critics/reviewers from credible sources (i.e. New York Review of Books, NYT, NPR, Library Journal, etc.) In addition, using MLA format, provide a complete list of your sources for this project.
