 An effective policy is one that achieves a specific outcome in terms of the impact that it has on an organization. Healthcare organizations need to understanding the importance of a policy with regard to setting the internal and external direction of the organization. This can only be done by measuring its effectiveness toward achieving a set standard. Select a healthcare policy and describe its expected outcomes. Based on what you learned this week, address the following requirements:

  • Demonstrate the impact of the policy by discussing changes in short-term, intermediate, and long-term outcomes.
