Directions:

You have learned throughout your exploration that planning is a process that includes observation and intentional planning for children’s continued growth and development in all areas. Now you have your observations and are starting to plan activities and lessons for the children you work with. You read about specific premade curricula as well as lesson plans from scratch that can be good, but the key is adapting things for the children you teach.

For your initial post, consider the following: where do you find ideas to support the observations you have? Where are you getting ideas from? Please share resources that you have used or seen others use. It could be books, magazines, websites, or other teachers. Identify the book, site, or ideas here so others can benefit as well. Finally, we know not everything out there is appropriate best practice. How do you decide what is developmentally appropriate to use?
